This is a classic pair of traditional Indian classical dance ghungroos built on a soft, woven white cotton cord base. This specific pair features a 3-line configuration of metallic brass bells (salangai) that have been tightly hand-knotted together using durable thread. Widely favored by beginner and intermediate students of Kathak, Bharatanatyam, Odissi, and Kuchipudi, this rope-style design is highly flexible, lightweight, and contours comfortably around the ankles. The long, extended cotton cords at each end allow the dancer to manually wrap, adjust, and securely tie the anklets to their desired tightness, producing a bright, high-pitched, and traditional rhythmic sound with every movement.
